  • In his first season as an NFL head coach, he led Tampa Bay to a 9-7 record, the teams most wins since 2010 and the second most wins by any coach in their 1st season
  • In 2016, he continued to help with the development of quarterback Jameis Winston, who set single season franchise records for passing yards and passing touchdowns. Winston became the youngest player to throw for 50 touchdowns in NFL history and the first player to throw for 4,000 yards in each of his first two season.
  • In the past 30 years, is the only offensive coordinator to finish in the top 10 for three different teams (Bucs, Falcons, Jaguars)
  • In his first year as an offensive coordinator in the NFL for the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2007, he had immediate success setting franchise records for total points scored and total yards while helping the Jaguars to a 11-5 record and playoff win over the Pittsburgh Steelers 
  • In his (5) seasons with the Jaguars, the team ranked third in the NFL in rushing yards over that time span in addition to having the NFL's leading rusher in Maurice Jones-Drew in 2010
  • In his first season with the Atlanta Falcons in 2012, his quarterback Matt Ryan set franchise passing records for yards, completion % and touchdowns while going 13-3 and playing in the NFC Championship game
  • Under Koetter in Atlanta, both Julio Jones and Tony Gonzalez set franchise records for receiving yards at their positions and Matt Ryan posted the three highest passing yardage seasons in franchise history
  • Two time Big West Coach of the Year winner at Boise State where he went 26-10 with two consecutive Bowl wins
  • Spent (6) years as the Head Coach at Arizona State posting a 40-34 record incuding (4) Bowl appearnaces.
